A pattern you
can call your own
Every tartan tells a story. Ours is about belonging. In Scotland, a tartan is more than a good-looking bit of cloth. Each pattern carries meaning, tying people to a clan, a region, or a shared history. When you wear one, you are wearing a bit of who you are and where you come from. It is identity you can drape over your shoulder.
The Edmonton Scottish Society tartan works the same way. It is a symbol of our community, woven for anyone who feels at home in our hall. You do not need a Scottish surname to wear it. You just need to be one of us.
What It Stands For
Our tartan represents everything the society is built on. The music and the dancing. The old friends and the new ones. The lifelong members and the young families finding their place. Every thread is a nod to the people who show up, share a laugh, and keep this community alive. Wear it with pride at our events. Own a piece to keep close to home. Or simply appreciate it as part of who we are. However you connect with it, the tartan is a reminder that you are part of something warm and lasting.
Wear It. Live It.
The best way to understand our tartan is to stand in a room full of people wearing it. Come to an event, join the society, and see what belonging feels like.
